Andreas Möller

Andreas Möller was born on September 2, 1967 in Frankfurt, West Germany. Throughout his career he played in attacking midfielder position.

Andreas Möller played for Eintracht Frankfurt (1985–87, 1990–92, 2003–04), Borussia Dortmund (1988–90, 1994–2000), Juventus (1992–94) and Schalke 04 (2000–03) throughout his professional football career . Andreas Möller played 35 games and scored 5 goals in Eintracht Frankfurt. Secondly he scored 24 goals in 75 games when he was the first transfer to Borussia Dortmund. The first year he transferred to Borussia Dortmund won the DFB-Pokal in the 1988-89 season. In his 1990-1992 season, Eintracht Frankfurt career’s 28 goals in 69 matches.

After transferring to the Italian team Juventus, he won the UEFA Cup in 1993 and Möller scored one of the goals in the match, where they beat his former club Borussia Dortmund 6-1. After returning to Dortmund, he became the Bundesliga champion repeatedly in 1995 and 1996. Mroeover he scored 47 goals in Borussia Dortmund in a total of 153 matches from 1994 to 2000.He won the Champions League in 1997 and various trophies of the German League. Andreas Müller defeated his former team Juventus this time in Borussia Dortmund. He won the DFB-Pokal twice with Schalke 04 in 2001 and 2002. Finally he was transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt for the last time in the 2003-2004 season and left the football after playing 11 match

Time to West Germany

Andreas Möller scored 29 goals in 85 games between 1988 and 1999 with the German national team. Andreas Möller won the 1990 World Cup and 96 Euros and participated in five major international tournaments. He also played in Euro 92, where his team advanced to the final for his country and lost only 2-0 to Denmark. Andreas Möller was eliminated from the 1994 World Cup and the 1998 World Cup, where Germany lived in the quarterfinals. He did not play 1-0 against Argentina in the World Cup Final in 1990. They lost dramatically against the UK in Euro 1996. They played well, but England had the strongest squad of that time…

Described by Stephan Uersfeld of ESPN FC as “one of the greatest midfielders of his generation,”Möller was a talented, versatile, and complete advanced playmaker, who was known for his range of passing, creativity, vision, intelligence, and technical ability, as well as his agility, reactions, and speed of thought, which enabled him to play first–time passes; he also had the ability to carry the ball or run forward at defences while in possession. In addition to his creative capabilities and ability to provide assists to teammates, Andreas Möller was also known for his goalscoring, courtesy of his powerful and accurate striking ability with either foot, as well as his heading ability, which allowed him to excel in the air; his offensive qualities also allowed him to be deployed in more advanced roles, as a supporting striker or even as a winger on occasion, in addition to his usual central position as an attacking midfielder behind the strikers. He was also a free kick specialist.
